news & discussions ?

Did you know that the smallest engines in the world are 2-stroke engines for model aircraft? The smallest engines can have a displacement of less than one cubic centimeter and produce about 20 watts at about 38 000 rpm.

Did you also know that at the other end of the scale, the largest engines in the world are also 2-stroke engines? They are used in all large ocean-going vessels and can have a displacement of nearly 30 cubic meters and produce up to 80 megawatts of power. They are also the slowest engines in the world with a speed of only 80 rpm.
